Eight promotional character posters of The Hunger Games have been released by Lionsgate. The upcoming adaptation based on Suzanne Colin’s best selling novel with the exact same title, follows the story of a 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen (Jeniffer Lawrence) living in the post-apocalyptic country of Panem in which each year a boy & girl are chosen from each of the country’s 12 districts to fight each by lottery & compete to the death in gladiator-like spectacles, the Hunger Games. Katniss is from one of the poorest districts, but she is skilled in archery and hunting, which makes her a fierce competitor.
Those eight character posters showing Jeniffer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, Alexander Ludwig as Cato, Lenny Kravitz as Cinna, Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket, Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthrone, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, and Amandia Stenberg as Rue. Other than those, joining the casts are Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones and Stanley Tucci.
The Hunger Games opens in theaters March 23, 2012.

As the release date (June 1st) is coming up, we’re now accompanied with a little piece of scene from the most expected X-Men: First Class. This “Magic Trick” scene shows us Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) tries to explain the nature of mutants and what they might have to offer to representatives from the US government and military. Suffice to say, the government types are ready to make with the scoffing until the professor tells them some of his psychic abilities that he can read their minds. It leads to accusations of spying and yelling each other, until Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) shows off her shape-shifting ability and silences the situation.
