Eight promotional character posters of The Hunger Games have been released by Lionsgate. The upcoming adaptation based on Suzanne Colin’s best selling novel with the exact same title, follows the story of a 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen (Jeniffer Lawrence) living in the post-apocalyptic country of Panem in which each year a boy & girl are chosen from each of the country’s 12 districts to fight each by lottery & compete to the death in gladiator-like spectacles, the Hunger Games. Katniss is from one of the poorest districts, but she is skilled in archery and hunting, which makes her a fierce competitor.

Those eight character posters showing Jeniffer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, Alexander Ludwig as Cato, Lenny Kravitz as Cinna, Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket, Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthrone, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, and Amandia Stenberg as Rue. Other than those, joining the casts are Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones and Stanley Tucci.

The Hunger Games opens in theaters March 23, 2012.

Four new high concept posters for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. The espionage thriller based on John le Carré’s classic novel. Directed by Tomas Alfredson (director of Let The Right One In), it has probably the most awesome British actors / Harry Potter alumni such as Gary Oldman playing as the protagonist George Smiley, John Hurt, Ciaran Hinds, Toby Jones, an Oscar-winning actor Colin Firth, and the guy who plays as Bane from Nolan’s Dark Knight Rises’s, Tom Hardy.

These posters made by Paul Smith and can be purchased for a good cause as all profits going to
Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres. There are a few hundred of these and you can by them in Sir Paul’s emporiums from September 13. The film had its premiere at Venice Film Festival in early September and is a ‘now-showing’ in UK cinemas.
